The FIFA world cup football tournament is going to held in the month of November to December in Qatar this year and it is going to be the most expensive world cup. Qatar being a hosting country is making world expensive arrangements for FIFA World Cup. Qatar is spending 500 million dollars every week in the arrangements of Fifa World Cup. 1.5 million Audience is expected to visit Qatar from all over the world. It will start from 20th November to 18th December. 32 Nations are participating in fifa.


The Qatar World Cup 2022 is no exception. Despite being the smallest nation ever to host the football tournament, they have gone all outstanding eight breathtaking stadiums. All the stadium is powered by Solar panel farms and their cooling system have been carefully designed to beat Qatar’s scorching climate. Infact, Qatar’s dedication to sound environmental practices earned the entire stadiums 4 or 5 star from the Global Sustainability Assessment System. It’s all very impressive.

1) THE LUSAIL STADIUM

This is the biggest and boldest of Qatar’s new stadium named as Lusail Iconic Stadium. This is going to be the flagship stadium for the tournament hosting 10 games, including final. It is pure lavish in its design. This stadium is designed by the renowned British architecture and the design of the stadium pays homage to the fan art lanterns and traditional hand crafted bowls and vessels used throughout the Middle East. IT visualized as a dancing of light and shadows with the intense sun bouncing off the golden panels. It’s not just the golden panel but the solar panels also power the building with the entire structure having a zero carbon footprint. It suspected cost 767 million dollars in construction. The total capacity is 80,000 people and it is the biggest of all eight stadiums. The Lusail Iconic Stadium will be the pinnacle of the city’s achievement so far being the 5th largest future stadium in the world. it will make for one unforgettable final match of Fifa World cup.

2) AL BAYT STADIUM

AL BAYT stadium is located about 35 kilometers away from Doha, the capital of Qatar. It can occupy about 63000 people in this stadium. It is the second biggest stadium of all built stadiums and indeed it towers over the surrounding landscape. In 2015, a Lebanese construction company ‘’Dar AL –Hadassah” were awarded to build and design this stadium. Their vision drew inspiration from the traditional tents of the nomadic Bedouin people’s of Qatar known locally as Bait Al Sha –ar tents. This name is also given to the stadium. The walls wave in and out echoing the flowing fabric. Such tents are ideal in the hot desert climate. However the Al Bait Stadium features a slightly more high tech solution. A gigantic retractable roof will cool the interior stadium helping to manage the scorching temperature. The tent like structure also shades the pitch. These intelligently designed works earn the stadium several imperishable certifications including a 5star GSAS rating, but the stadium is more than just a football arena. You will find the 5stat hotel and shopping center inside these massive walls. These luxurious hotel suites and rooms all brag balcony views of the football field in a breathtaking display of grandeur. It’s like no stadium on earth built for the world cup. This stadium is planned for 8 games including the opening match.

3) AL  JANOUB STADIUM

This stadium is established in one of Qatar’s oldest neighborhood. Al Janoub stadium was designed by the renowned British Iraqi architecture Zaha Hadid, famous for the London Olympic Aquatic center and Beijing Daxing Airport. Sadly Hadid died in 2016 and never witnessed the magnificent postmodern and neo futurist design she conceived. The scooping frilled curves are meant to mirror the sails of traditional dhow boats used by pearl divers to weave through the turbulent currents of the Persian Gulf. It is not hard to see the similarity. Infact the curvilinear roof gives spectators the feeling of being on ship. And the bowed beams holding up the roofs also resemble the ship’s hull. It also features a retractable roof and complex cooling system capable of reducing the inner temperature to as low as 18C.This stadium can conceive 40,000 seaters. This project cost about 700 million dollars.

4) AL THUMANA STADIUM

Al Thumana stadium is the most Arabic in its aesthetic, named after a nature tree and it’s design is based on the traditional Ghafiya, a woven hat most popular amongst Arabic men. It’s a unique design choice for a football stadium. Infact so stunning and inspiring is the design that it was awarded the MIPIM Architectural Review Future Award in the sports and stadium category in France. The stadium is located in AL Thumana, a district of Doha just 12km south of the city centre. This glistening stadium is therefore planned to be at the heart of the tournament, featuring 8 games, including the quarter final. Like other stadium it has the capacity of 40,000 people and part of wider development project. The 342 million dollars stadium sits in a 50,000 square meter public park, brimful with greenery. Qatar is among the world’s wealthiest country, spending billions on stadiums is a step too far, even for them.

5) AHMAD BIN ALI STADIUM

Ahmad bin Ali Stadium is better known as AL Rayyan stadium sits on the site of one of Qatar’s former major Arena’s. Infact it is almost the same stadium with 80 percent of its construction materials being reused or recycled. It’s a master class of recycling. It is designed in pattern with 40,000 seaters featuring a huge media façade with a membrane that acts as a screen for projections, news, commercial and tournament information. It’s hard to comprehend the scale or the glimmering spectacle it create on the horizon miles away in the desert with a price tag of 360 million dollars, it’s one of the cheaper stadium built by the Qatar’s, but not less than a breathtaking. 6) EDUCATION CITY STADIUM

The Education City is not the most romantically named out of the 8 stadium. This 40,000 seater Arena is located in education city 7km south of Doha, has earned a nickname ‘’The Diamond in the dessert’’. It is designed like a diamond shape, giving a overall structure jewel like appearance. Indeed this diamond patterns appears to be shimmer and change color as the sun moves across the sky. Despite being the jewel in the crown of the Qatar’s world cup intent it is also among the most environmentally sustainable stadium in the world receiving a five star GSAS rating. Infact 200 of the building material came from the green sources. Education city stadium will be among the most prominent following the world cup, built in the heart of education city which features satellite campuses of eight international universities the stadium will play host to the university athlete teams, retaining 25000 of its initial 45000 seats. The stadium will feature in eight world cup games including quarter final.

7) KHALIFA INTERNATIONAL STADIUM

This stadium was first opened in 1976 & hosted the 1992 Gulf cup in which the Qatar won for the first time. For the 2006 Asian Games, the stadium’s capacity was increased from 20,000 to 40,000 seats and a roof was added to cover the western side, with which illustrious history, the Khalifa is the only World Cup stadium not being partially or fully dismantled afterwards although with a refurbishments cost of $374 million, equivalent to some of the smaller stadiums. It’s hardly surprising. Home to Qatar’s national football team as well as numerous other track and field competitions, it’s the best known and used stadium in the country.
It will be an exciting venue for the football fans situated in Doha sports City nearby to the Hamad Aquatic centre, featuring an Olympic size swimming pool and the Aspire Dome, the world’s largest multi-purpose sports hall. 8) STADIUM 974
the most impressive stadium but not the biggest. Stadium 974, formerly Ras Abu Aboud stadium, is a 40,000 seater arena unlike anything on the planet. Infact, despite opening in November 2021, the stadium won’t exist in a few years. That’s right, after the World cup ends the entire structure is planned to be dismantled, indeed from its conception the whole stadium was built with impermanence in mind. Its name which pays homage to Qatar’s international dialing code, is also an element of its design. Constructed from 974 recycled shipping containers and modular steel, the extraordinary stadium is blue print for future tournaments hosts worried about being stuck with an expensive stadium they can’t fill. Its the first temporary venue in FIFA world cup history.
Its innovative design was containers for bathroom and concessions, as well as the stadium’s outer wall. Despite this cobbled together approach, the water from arena is uniquely beautiful, maintaining the grandeur of traditional stadiums but with a modern eco-spin.
